Modes of Making presents the work of eleven artists, craftsmen, and designers who are active in the furniture community. This exhibition explores the numerous ways that furniture is made and how it gets out into the world. Selected artists work through a variety of systems: teaching, galleries, residencies, commissions, trade/craft shows, and industrial production/distribution. Pieces range from strictly functional furniture to purely sculptural forms - all reflect on the history, tools and processes of furniture making.

Exhibiting artists: Bill Bancroft, Shaun Bullens, Reagan Furqueron, Paula Garbarino, Michael Iannone, Yuri Kobayashi, Thomas Moser, Bart Niswonger, Sylvie Rosenthal, Will Tracey and Stephen Yusko.
